Stu Berry

Stu is originally from Hillcrest, and spent the first 17 years of his life just outside Durban. Stu is a highly qualified Masters Degree graduate, with an MSc from the University of KZN (PMB) in Hydrological Sciences.
In the field of sports, he is an SA Rugby Referee, having been reffing at Currie Cup level since 2004. Rugby has led him across the world, having taking him to places such as Singapore, England, Wales, Australia, Uganda, Kenya and Zimbabwe.

He has built up an impressive contact base and business platform through his involvement and travels in rugby at a high level, with worldwide business contacts and access to high profile sporting icons, giving your company the inside path to profiled individuals.

He has high aspirations for his refereeing career, and says that his dream is to make the Super 14 and a World Cup one day.

He is a strong public speaker, coming off a solid leadership background during his school days where he was head boy.

Andrew Van Rensburg

Andrew, aka Fuzzy, originates from Ixopo, a small farming town in KZN. He spent his schooling career in Pietermaritzburg attending Cordwalles and Maritzburg College. Andrew lived and studied in Cape Town for 4 years and is a degree graduate with a BTech from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) in Landscape Technology.

On the sports field, Andrew played rugby for the University of Cape Town and represented their 2nd Team for two seasons before suffering a serious knee injury. He has played club cricket for Maritzburg Cricket Club and is a keen mountain biker and trail runner.

Andrew started with Impi at the beginning of 2010 and has been involved with some of the greatest sporting events in South Africa within IMPI Concept Events portfolio. He is the logistics and branding manager and runs a very efficient operation.

Through his involvement with many of the mountain biking events in the province, Andrew has been used as an MC for races such as the Greytown MTB Festival, Claas Tour de Krantz, Bonitas Mondi Umfolozi MTB Challenge and the Nguni Classic MTB and Trail Running Festival.

Andrew is a highly valued member of the efficient IMPI team.

Gregg McDonagh

Gregg joined the Impi team to add to their already dynamic team of young enthusiastic guys. He has done his time with companies like SAB and looked after there eventing calendars for the past few years ,and gained huge experience in the eventing world. Gregg joins the team to add value to there knowledgeable group of like-minded guys in the sourcing of new business, branding, activation and logistical planning.

Gregg attended Highbury Prep School and Kearsney College where his passion for sport developed.

He has participated in and finished some of South Africa’s most well-known sporting events. From The Ultimate Human Race in Comrades to the Dusi, Drak and Fish Canoe Marathons. He has also run many marathons around the country. But his passion has leaned towards mountain biking. Coming from the Southern Drakensberg town of Underberg, Greggs love for the outdoors was born and mountain biking has been where he has spent many an hour. Taking part in many classics and marathons around Natal, to the longest of them all the Freedom Challenge, which sees riders leave PMB and make their way unassisted down to the Cape via 2500km of South Africa’s most remote but equally beautiful sights. He has also managed to compete in a few Half Iron Mans leading up to the biggest of them all, Iron Man, which he completed in 2011.

Gregg has known Doug and Stu for many years, first meeting on the banks of the Dusi whilst sipping on the coldest of beers. His passion in the outdoors sees him fit in perfectly to the group of sporting and outdoor enthusiasts.
